I am in my hotel in Burbank. I am supposed to be at the client site to set up for my class in three minutes. But I am taking this very brief opportunity to tell you that...yes...I finaled in FanLit this week. All I really wanted was to crack the top 20, but I've done cracked the top 10. Unbelievable!
Maybe now I can quit this damn thing! It would be really good if I could.

Thanks so much for the warm congratulations, you guys (gals?). I am really so surprised--even a little humbled--to be a finalist. I sure as heck didn't expect it! Like I said, top 20 would have been great.
Of course, now that I've finaled, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to win and wear the fishbowl head, LOL.
