FanLit Finals Alert!

I didn't enter a FanLit chapter this week, but a couple of my critique partners did. And this week, one of them made the finals. Big congratulations to Leigh on a well-deserved place in the top ten (of 179 entries)! Way to go! I won't tell you what the name of her entry is, but if you're motivated to vote, there's a rather well-placed hint in this sentence.

Also, I was so excited about my own final last week that I neglected to mention that another of my critique partners, Kim, had a chapter, Friends in Deed, in the finals last week as well. So this is my belated congratulations to her. Kim rocks!

Actually, Leigh's entry in this round is the only one any of my CP's submitted thus far that I had actually read and critted before it was posted. I didn't make many suggestions for changes, though. It was great from the get-go.

I do have a great group of very talented CPs, though. I think I chose pretty darned well. I'm sure I never could have finaled in FanLit last round if I hadn't learned so much from them first.

Who are you demurring to, Jacq!?! WE ROCK! And it really IS a fantastic ring. Even though I don't deal with everyone individually, what you've learned from others and brought back here (and what I know you've taken away)...it IS a fantabulous team.

I think it's pretty impressive that so many people in my little ring actually ended up finaling, though Lacey takes the proverbial by actually managing to win a round.

I think Kim has a good shot at finaling again in this round. At least of the entries I've read (relatively few this time around, partly because Yahell Mail keeps dumping the invites in my Bulk folder and I forget that it does that and blithely keep emptying it before checking what's in there), she has one of the best and its average was quite high when I rated it this morning. She might even win!
